Drama Workshop on Gender Stereotypes & Diversity in Children and Families

13. May 2017I10:00 - 14:00 CEST

12€

This practical workshop will use drama to explore family diversity, gender stereotypes, and homophobic and transphobic bullying in an age appropriate way. The workshop will begin by focusing on early years using a picture book as a stimulus to discuss family diversity. The focus for senior primary classes will be on gender stereotypes and homophobic and transphobic bullying.

Teachers will be offered practical ideas to make their classroom more inclusive, aligning with the Anti-Bullying Guidelines issued by the Irish Department of Education and Skills. Those working with pupils aged 3 -14 would benefit from this workshop.

The workshop takes place on Saturday 13th May to mark IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia) and IFED (International Family Equality Day).
