The 6th of May 2018 Famiglie Arcobaleno, the Italian association of homosexual parents, will celebrate IFED (the International Family Equality Day) that will coincide with the 10th edition of its main annual event, the Festa delle Famiglie. The slogan of this year celebration is: “all children are equal. Equal rights for everybody”. “Today in Italy – explains the President of Famiglie Arcobaleno Marilena Grassadonia – there are minors who have less rights than others, because they are born in families with two mothers and two fathers, or because their parents are foreigners. Famiglie Arcobaleno has always fought for a more just and inclusive Italy. Rights are rights when they belong to everyone, otherwise they are only privileges”.
Festa delle Famiglie is traditionally open to anyone who wants to participate and represents a celebration day of games, tales, music, meetings and debates and will provide fun for all children and families. This year it will be held in 9 Italian cities: in Venice on 5 May, in Naples on the 5th-6th of May, in Florence, Milan, Molfetta, Perugia, Rome Turin on the 6th of May and finally in Genoa on May 19th.
