Dettie Gould, IFED Board Member

Co parent to three, parenting role to one other. Dettie lives in London in the UK.

She has been committed and active in for over 30 years as a Writer, human rights activist , trade unionist, and LGBT+ rights defender She still works to promote a Black LGBT+ workers rights through her work on the LGBT+committees of Unison and TUC and She welcomes the chance to highlight LGBT+family experience and discussions on intersectionality, internationally through her work with International Family Equality Day (IFED) Alongside being an award winning writer, she also sits as Co chair on the board of the LGBTQ+ Mental Health charity MindOut and is a School Governor. she is both a host and a performer at Boisterous Ravens a spoken word event designed to amplify the voices of Women and Non-binary people of colour. She believes visibility for Black and Brown LGBT+ people to be a cornerstone of equality.
